- High ambient (room) temperatures exceeding 95º Fahrenheit
- Excessive heat load from equipment such as powerheads, lighting, etc.
- Placing chiller in a well-ventilated area
- Keeping Air Filter Clean
- Providing correct flow requirements
- Thickness of Aquarium and type of material (glass / plexiglass)
- Amount of rock in aquarium
